Founder’s Note

We aim to make sleep an enabler, not a barrie

“I began my Lumos journey at Stanford, driven by my own struggle with jet lag. After completing my Ph.D., I met Dr. Jamie Zeitzer, a leading sleep scientist studying the body’s internal clock. As the first tester of our prototype, I experienced its impact firsthand—landing in Asia and seamlessly adapting to the local time. I knew then this could change lives.

Over time, Lumos evolved through real needs and experiences. The Sunrise Alarm was created to help heavy sleepers like my husband overcome sleep inertia. We introduced modules for night shifts and early rising in response to user demand. After becoming a parent, my own challenges with nighttime wake ups inspired the Sleep Optimizer designed to support deeper, uninterrupted rest.

To me, Lumos has always been a labor of love, shaped by personal experience and a commitment to improving sleep.
